How fun to be on the Pigment blog today! Pigment is our most favorite little place to shop in North Park. Erik and I feel it's so important to support local businesses and artists in our community, so this is our go-to spot when we need to pick up a gift, something to spruce up the house, or just a bit of creative inspiration.
The article also reveals that we're expecting a baby this summer!! We are absolutely over the moon to be expanding our family and to share the news with all of you!
You can see the feature here, and learn what we love about Pigment. Thanks so much to Pigment for inviting us to be part of your "We Are" Series - we are thrilled to be part of it!

Eric and Dee are originally from San Diego, but moved to New York City together a couple years ago. They returned to the Japanese Friendship Garden in Balboa Park to host their beautiful garden party wedding and brought a bit of SOHO with them, with the help of wedding coordinator Francine Ribeau. During the ceremony when Eric's band mates performed a lovely song by Penny and The Quarters - "You and Me"
"When love is real, you don't have to show it.
When it is true, then everyone will know.
'Cause there'll be no one but
You and me. "
This just sums up the day. The way that Eric and Dee look at each other, it's like no one else is in the room. You can really just feel how very much in love they are.

So excited to be on Rock N Roll Bride again today!! Tabitha, the Bride, drew most of the inspiration for their wedding and even found her dress by spending hours on this blog, which makes it especially sweet for her. Read more about what went into planning their day here. Thanks so much to Kat for the feature.
Two adventurers about to embark on the greatest adventure of all... Mike and Ashley had a beautiful day at Estancia La Jolla, surrounded by friends and family from all over the globe, they themselves being from Colorado. Ashley is not the kind of girl who wears a dress - she's much more comfortable playing with Mike on the soccer field. Her inner beauty really had a chance to shine through on this day... she just lit up the room. We're so happy we got a chance to know these two genuine and kind people.
Some of our favorite details:
Florals: Moments in Bloom / Bride's Earrings and Sash: Provence Bride / Cake: VG Bakery! / Coordination: Paige Jensen for Turquoise Events / DJ Effren for Tim Altbaum Productions and OF COURSE we have to thank the staff at the always beautiful Estancia La Jolla for taking such good care of us.
We got to spend 24 hours with Matty and Andrew in Palm Springs; one of our favorite cities...and we really DID Palm Spring! We started our first day at the ariel tramway, and ended at sunset near the wind turbines (where we may or may have not done some trespassing) and the wind was howling! We spent the evening with them in a beatifully appointed, authentic 60's furnished home which served as the quintessential Palm Springs backdrop as the next day unfolded. All in all, one of our favorite sessions to date and now some of our favorite people!
What can I say about Cody and Tabitha? They have become some of our closest friends in the last of couple years, and getting to photograph their wedding was just downright special! I totally admit that I had to hide my face behind my camera while I cried happy tears so many times during the day. They have a love that is very rare and true, and just getting to be around them makes me feel like nothing bad could ever happen in the world. I couldn't be any happier for two people!
Details of the day:
Bride's Dress: Dolly Couture
Bridesmaid Dresses: Lynn's Rags (custom)
Bouquet, Boutonnieres and Veil: Heather Martin (Maid of Honor, who also did Tab's makeup!)
Hair: Quinn Kerrigan
Stationary & Signage: Designed by the lovely bride herself Haven Page Design
Band: Old Tiger
For their circus side-show themed wedding, Cody and Tabitha also home-brewed a batch of their own wedding IPA, named for their beloved pit bull, Wilma Page. They had carnival games and cotton candy during their cocktail hour and instead of typical favors, on the tables were clown noses, whoopie cushions, squirting flowers, and other fun gags that kept their guests entertained for hours. The wedding was held in Cody's parent's backyard and it was a truly perfect day. As they say in the circus, "On with the show!"
Yes, they're Betsey!
We really, really, really love all the couples that we work with. It's just so fun to constantly be surrounded by people IN LOVE - and wow, are these two IN LOVE. I love the way they look at each other!
